Deer Disappearing?
« on: February 07, 2020, 01:56:11 AM »
So this year will be the 4th year hunting a small 64 acre property. We did a lot this year with “landscape” that we didn’t want to do. We live on the property. It’s basically a big bowl with creeks that run through it. We had to dig out one creek from one end of the property to the other for water control. With that done we had trees cut and dirt moved. With the “terrain change” it has seemed to keep all the mature bucks away. It seemed when there were leaves still on the trees and more cover. Two out of the 4 mature bucks (that were on camera) stayed and the others left. Now that there are no leaves and less cover the only bucks are smaller two maybe 3 year olds. And almost ever single one of them have only one good side of there rack. Now I went from hunting at least 1 mature buck during bow season to hunting small immature bucks. And it’s now the rut in Alabama. And I had one mature buck on camera. But at night. Only seeing the immature bucks during daylight.vidmate mobdro word counter

Those two things there sound like a sure way to get mature bucks to shift their home range  :)
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
